Trained healthcare professionals, including medical assistants, nurses and others, are likely to be in more demand than ever in the coming months with help from government stimulus funding.
The White House recently announced that the recent economic stimulus bill includes $155 million that will be used for new health centers across the country that will serve patients in financial need and who lack health insurance.
"The construction and expansion of health centers will create thousands of new jobs, help provide health care to an estimated 750,000 Americans across the country who wouldn't have access to care without these centers, and take another step toward an affordable, accessible health care system," said President Obama in a recent statement.
A total of 126 healthcare centers will be created nationwide, creating a combined 5,500 jobs. More information about them can be found on the Department of Health and Human Services website.
