A medical assistant training institution has reported an increase in enrollment and says it reflects the trend that demand for these jobs remains high.
The NJ Premier Institute for Medical and Dental Training said more students are enrolling in its 13-week medical assistant program, which prepares students to sit for the national board certification.
"This is a great field for anyone who finds themselves having to re-enter the work force," said Lisa Wassef, co-director at the institute. "For mothers returning to work to help with finances, the field offers the flexibility of part-time hours."
